The Oak Ridge Boys have of course been around for a good long time now. Having crossed over to Country Music from Gospel roots, in the late 70's.
I have to say that this latest CD of theirs, Front Row Seats, is pretty doggone good. Proving they are still going strong, and do indeed have more to offer country music fans.
The CD is full of the harmony that over the years has become their signature. It's a bit of a return to the great country sound that the Oak Ridge Boys are known for. With each band member getting their chance in the spotlight.
Although every track on Front Row Seats is great, some of the really outstanding tunes include Dream On Me with it's great beat, the first radio single off the CD Hard To Be Cool (In A Minivan), and Closer To Home. All great songs with great lyrics . As are all the tracks on the CD.
This CD really could be their best to date, and that's covering a lot of ground.
It seems like The Boys just keep getting better and better. Front Row Seats is a CD that should be in every Oak Ridge Boys or country music fan's collection.
